Professional Work:
Genneos Georgiou is an Advocate based in Cyprus with experience in civil litigation, banking law, contract law, debt recovery, tort law, landlord and tenant disputes, and criminal law. He regularly advises and represents financial institutions, companies, and private clients in complex legal matters involving contractual disputes, debt collection, enforcement proceedings, and commercial claims.
In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a Criminal Investigator appointed by the Independent Authority for the Investigation of Allegations and Complaints Against the Police (AADIPA) since 2023, where he conducts independent investigations into allegations concerning police conduct, abuse of authority, unlawful use of force, and related criminal and disciplinary offences.
His professional practice encompasses the drafting and conduct of court proceedings, preparation of affidavits and pleadings, settlement negotiations, debt recovery actions, banking litigation, and the provision of legal opinions on civil and criminal law matters.
His Path:
Genneos obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) with an integrated Master of Laws (LL.M.) at The University of Law, United Kingdom. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2022 and has since been engaged in active litigation before the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus.
